一.当然，我们知道审判官是神，不是我们，但是，如果雅各在欺骗他父亲和哥哥之后，如果他得心脏病就死了，他永恒的结局恐怕会怎么样？________

二.请说明雅各的梦(28:10-17)。谁向雅各说话?___ 在此，神与雅各立了___。内容是我们在哪里曾经听过的？(请参看12:1-3; 15:1-21; 26:24-25。) _____________________

神如何形容自己？“我是____________”

三.雅各睡醒后，他做了什么(18)？_____________ 以前我们是否见到别人如此行？(参看12:8下半节; 15:9-17; 26:25。) 雅各如此行等于我们今天在星期天做 __ __。

创世记28:10-22是雅各对神的信仰的开始，并不是他信仰神的高峰。但是，连在这时候，雅各已经决定把他所得的百分之___奉献给神。我们呢？

五.创世记29章：请说明雅各怎么样认识拉结。拉结是____的女儿；拉班是利百加的_____，所以拉结是雅各的_____。拉结的姐姐名叫______。.

六.请述说雅各怎么样才娶拉结为妻。雅各面对一个“文化隔阂”，是什么？ (23-26)总共，雅各给拉班工作____年，才得到他心里所想得到的_____。雅各更 ___拉结，但拉结不能___ __。

1. Of course, God is the judge, not us, but just after Jacob cheated his father and brother, if he had died from a heart attack at that time, what would likely have been his eternal future?

2.Tell about Jacob’s dream (28:10-17). How spoke to Jacob? God made a _____ with Jacob. Where have we seen similar content before? (See Gen. 12:1-3; 15:1-21; 26:24-25)

How did God describe himself?

"I am___________________."

3.What did Jacob do after he awoke (18)? _________ Did we see someone else do this earlier? (See Gen 12:8b; 15:9-17; 26:25.)

4.Is Jacob’s faith as complete at this time as his father Abraham’s faith was? Was Jacob prepared to completely believe God, rely on God and obey God? Note: The answer to this question is "No." Why? In verse 20, which word indicates that Jacob’s faith is not yet mature? __ Jacob responded to God, however his "obedience" included a condition. Do we make the same mistake today? Do we too want to obey God "conditionally"?

Gen. 28:10-22 is the beginning of Jacob’s journey of faith; it is not the highpoint of his faith. However, even here, Jacob had already decided to give God one-____ of everything he obtained. How about us?

5.Gen. 29: Explain how Jacob met Rachel. Rachel is the daughter of ______; Laban is Rebekah’s_____ , so Rachel is Jacob’s _______. Rebekah’s older sister is ______.

6.Tell how Jacob obtained Rachel as his wife. What "cultural unknown" did Jacob face?_________________.

7.Gen. 30: Was Rachel’s solution to her inability to bear children a good one?__________________

8.Gen. 30:25-31:21: In short, who enabled Jacob to get rich? Did he become wealthy because he believed in and utilized the superstitions of his day? Or was it because God blessed him? (Remember that God promised Jacob that he would bless him.) (Note: In 31:9, Jacob indicates that it was from God.)

9.How did God protect Jacob (31:24, 29, 42)?

10.Gen. 32: The second time God allowed Jacob to see ______ (32:1). What announcement frightened Jacob (32:3-8)? ________In 32:9: Jacob ______. From this prayer we see that Jacob’s faith has __________. What differences do you see in this prayer from his previous prayer? _______. What unusual thing happened to Jacob that night (32:22-31)? _________. From this we know that Jacob’s faith had reached a _____ ______. Jacob formerly thought he had to "wrestle" with Esau. Later he thought he had to "wrestle" with Laban. Now Jacob realizes that he must "wrestle" with God [NIV Study Bible, notes on Gen. 32:24.]. Jacob finally wants to follow and obey God completely; God has forgiven Jacob. Explain why God changed Jacob’s name. _____. What was his new name ? _____. What did it mean?______ . In what way is his name influential all the way down to today? _____________.

11.God had forgiven Jacob, but had Esau forgiven Jacob (33:4)? _____. Please take two minutes, close your eyes and visualize this meeting between Esau and Jacob.

If Esau could forgive Jacob, why can we not ________ those who sin against us, those who cheat us and even those who slander us?

 

12.What did Jacob do after he arrived in ________ ________ in Canaan (33:18-20)? ______________. (See Gen. 28:20-22. Gen. 33:18-20 is part of his response to God.)
