\nPRAYER AND THE ART OF CONFESSION<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will not believe what I read this week. I read about a group of people who were searching for God’s place in their lives and got together for several hours to study and pray. “They stood where they were and read from the book of the law of the Lord their God for a quarter of the day and spent another quarter in confession and worshipping the Lord their God” (Nehemiah 9:3). I read that in the Old Testament part of the Bible in the book of Nehemiah. When they recognized their need for God, they spent a lot of time confessing their sins to God and reminding themselves of their need of God in their lives. Confessing our sins cleans our souls and draws us closer to God. Pause for a couple of minutes right now and pray to God.<\/p>\n
