35 MERCY<\/p>\n

Edwin Chapin wrote, “Mercy among the virtues is like the moon among the stars, \u2013 not so sparkling and vivid as many, but dispensing a calm radiance that hallows the whole. It is the bow that rests upon the bosom of the cloud when the storm is past. It is the light that hovers above the judgment seat.” Mercy is one of those things we need much more of in this world. We need more compassion, forbearance and forgiveness to be shown in life toward one another. Not much mercy is shown around us. It is easy to grow cynical and negative about life and about people that are different. One of the ways that we can grow in mercy is when we realize the mercy that God shows us each and every day. Once we have experienced his mercy, it becomes so much easier to dispense mercy to others. May God help you and me to realize His mercy and then show it to others with whom we come in contact with today.<\/p>\n
