Uses of the word appropriate:
1-1. Many decisions are made on the grounds of whether a behavior is appropriate or not.
行為是否恰當，可以決定很多的事情。
1-2. Something that is appropriate in one culture may not be appropriate in another culture.
一個文化看為恰當的事情（行動等），在另一個文化就不一定是恰當的。
1-3. It is not appropriate to praise a third person’s cooking when eating a meal at someone’s house.
在別人的家吃飯的時候誇獎另外一個人的飯菜是不恰當的。
2-1. In general, it is not appropriate for a man to visit a woman’s residence if there is not a third person present.

3-1. In America, it usually is not appropriate to ask someone how much money he paid for a certain item.
一般來說，在美國，向人問他花了多少錢買了某一的東西是不禮貌的。

在美國，在餐廳吃飯時，應該把賬單總數的百分之十五給服務員為小費。
3-3. The Bible says that Christian women should adorn themselves with good deeds—the appropriate garments for people who worship God.
