神給你的是你所需的，而不總是你所求的
我敢打賭你我的父母都很像。他們不會總是你要什麼就給你什麼，對吧？我父母也不會。他們有時候同意，有時候他們會說我不可以得到我找他們要的那東西。他們通常都會給出很好的解釋。有些東西可能要等幾個月甚至幾年之後才會得到。現在想想，當時我找父母要的東西也許對於我來說還不到時候。天上的神也是以同樣的方式來垂聽回應我們的禱告。當我們的請求對我們有益並且能幫助我們更好地侍奉神時，神就會賜下我們所求的。當我們的祈求的會傷害我們，或者不會有助於我們與神的同行，他就不會答應。既然神如此了解我們，他知道我們需要什麼，而當我們需要時，他可能會答應我們的請求，然後在一段時間之後把它們賜給我們。知道這點很重要。它會在我們禱告時給我們帶來希望和信心。

25 GOD GIVES YOU WHAT YOU NEED,
NOT ALWAYS WHAT YOU PRAY FOR
I bet you had parents like mine. They did not give you everything that you ask them for all the time, did they? Mine didn’t either. They said yes sometimes. Sometimes they said that I could not have what I requested. They always had a pretty good reason why. There were some things I ask for that I did not receive till months or even years later. Looking back, I probably wasn’t ready for those things at the time I ask my parents for them. The God of heaven hears our prayers and answers them in the same way. When our requests are good for us and would help us serve Him better, He gives us what we ask for. When our prayers would hurt us or when it would not help us in our walk with Him, He answers no. Since God knows us so well and He knows what we need and when we need it, He might say yes to our requests and then give them to us at a later time. This is good to know. It gives us hope and confidence when we pray.
